Great American Roofing ("GAR," "we," "us," or "our"), respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit mygreatamericanroofing.com, request an estimate, schedule service, subscribe to our newsletter, contact us, or otherwise interact with us online.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide. We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, mailing or property address, roofing or construction project details, appointment preferences, photographs or documents you choose to provide, newsletter preferences, and the contents of communications you send us.

Information collected automatically. When you use our website, Wix and other service providers that support the site may collect Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser and device type, operating system, referring pages, pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP address, dates and times of visits, and cookie or similar technology information.

Information from other sources. We may receive information from referral partners, social-media platforms when you interact with our pages, and vendors that help us provide requested services.

Please do not submit Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, financial-account credentials, health information, biometric information, or other highly sensitive information through general website forms or email unless we specifically request it through an appropriate secure method.

2. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • respond to questions and provide estimates, inspections, appointments, roofing services, and customer support;
  • manage projects, warranties, records, and our relationship with customers and prospective customers;

Our website is hosted on Wix. Wix and its service providers may use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for site operation, security, accessibility, form submission, scheduling, preferences, and basic performance or usage reporting. Your browser may allow you to block or delete cookies, although doing so may prevent parts of the website from working correctly.

GAR does not currently use Google Analytics or the Meta Pixel. We do not currently use personal information for targeted advertising. If our practices materially change, we will update this Policy and provide any notice or choice required by applicable law before using information for the new purpose.

GAR does not currently accept payments through this website. If website payment functionality is added in the future, we will update this Policy to describe the related collection, use, and disclosure of payment information, and we will provide any notice required by applicable law.

4. How We Disclose Information

We may disclose personal information only as reasonably necessary to:

  • service providers and contractors that support website hosting, forms, scheduling, communications, email delivery, customer relationship management, data storage, information technology, security and professional services;
  • business and project partners when needed to provide a service you request, such as suppliers, subcontractors, inspectors, or other construction professionals;
  • legal and safety recipients when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or property; and
  • transaction participants in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data with third parties for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not process personal data for targeted advertising or for profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide services, maintain project and warranty records, meet accounting or legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary based on the nature of the information and the reason we collected it. We securely delete or deidentify information when it is no longer reasonably needed, subject to legal and operational requirements.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature and volume of personal information we maintain. No website, transmission, or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices

GAR does not currently send promotional text messages or use automated marketing calls. You may unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message or contacting us. You may also adjust cookie controls available through your browser or any cookie settings offered on our website. Transactional and service-related messages may still be sent when necessary.

8. Texas Privacy Rights

Subject to applicable law and any available exemption, Texas residents may request to: (1) confirm whether we process their personal data and access that data; (2) correct inaccuracies; (3) delete personal data provided by or obtained about them; (4) obtain a portable copy of personal data previously provided to us; and (5) opt out of processing for targeted advertising, the sale of personal data, or qualifying profiling. We do not discriminate against anyone for exercising a privacy right.

Please describe the right you wish to exercise and provide enough information for us to reasonably authenticate the request. We may request additional information only as reasonably necessary to verify identity or authority. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

If we decline to act on your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing the address above with the subject line "Privacy Appeal." We will respond to the appeal in writing within 60 days. If an appeal is denied, you may submit a privacy complaint to the Texas Attorney General.

9. Children’s Privacy

This website and our services are intended for a general audience and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can investigate and, where appropriate, delete it.

10. Third-Party Websites

Our website may link to websites or services operated by others. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and GAR is not responsible for those practices.
